Hi friends! My name is Emily Collick and I am currently a junior in highschool. This year in my IB World Literature class we are doing a project known as 20-time or as some of you may know it as genius hour. Here is a link to learn more about 20-time http://www.20time.org .We are allotted 20% of our class time to work on anything we want, for me sixth hour every Wednesday will be devoted to advancing my skills in photography and developing skills in videography.
I would consider myself a rather creative and artistic person, I just do not have any ability to draw, paint, and anything else related to art. One thing I can do is take photos! I can express my creative side through videos and photos rather than on a canvas or in a sketchbook. I recently got my first DSLR camera for Christmas. My hope is that by the end of this project is to develop my skills as a photographer and learn different styles and tricks of photography that I have yet to decide. As for videos, I want to create a video similar to the one my teacher showed me in class, here is a link to the video if you want to se what I am going to make using my classmates https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xupHuEk8p7g . I also plan to document my trip to Costa Rica at the end of March. If you want to check out some of my work, I have a YouTube channel that I started almost a year ago https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsXyUrmU00uMPKkptfwjSCw
I hope you stick with me as I continue on with this journey of mine!Until next time!
